A very blessed day.

Well. I went today and got the pregnancy confirmed. Due date is October 8th 2012. I'm super excited! I have wanted another baby for a while, and I'm so glad that God worked it all out to work this way. We got the new bigger SUV just one week before finding out that baby number three is on the way. Now we will not have to spend one thousand dollars on car seats to fit in a tiny car!

I am so excited. Its almot like starting all over again. Well I am in a way! I always gave away/or sold all the kids stuff as soon as they out grew everything. WEll. I will NEVER do that again. I am keeping everything no matter what David says about another baby after this! I do have some of the bigger items. The play pins(I still want a new pack and play with changing station and bassinet built in). And we need a new bouncy seat, and all new clothes from newborn up because I only have 3/4t of taylors things which is what she is in now, and only have some 18-24 month which is what Ryder is in. So.. Gotta get all that stuff again.

Anyways. I do not have a bible verse to post tonight. I have been pretty busy doing all the stuff to get the pregnancy confirmed. And I hope tomorrow to take time to update with some new verses I come across, and some photos of the day. I have one for yesterday, Zoey's birthday!(a little girl that I baby sit). Anyways. For now its time for me to go to bed :)

Saw this on facebook and had to post it here! I know ALOT of people who only pray for things they want. But, they never take time to pray for all that God has already blessed them with. I honestly pray daily, and I'm not asking for something every time. I'm always praying about how thankful I am that God blessed me with David, Taylor, Ryder, my mom and step dad, sister. And how thankful I am that David has a job. That we can pay our bills. That we live in our house. That we finally have a vehicle that fits our family. If you stop and look at your life, you always have ALOT to be thankful for.

Please do not post to my facebook page about this, just yet. I haven't said antyhing on there. I want to wait and be 100000% sure that is true :) Waiting for the dr confirmation before posting on there :)

I haven't announced it on Facebook, and only immediate family and friends know. BUT we are expecting baby number 3! I am only 4 weeks and 1-2 days. So its still VERY early. I'm praying for a healthy and happy baby in October:)

I'm not sure when I will post it on facebook, probably after the dr confirms it. But I have taken like 9 pregnancy tests and all are positives and getting darker by the day! I'm so excited. I've been praying for another baby for a while.

Draw my eyes to you, Lord.

I haven't had much time to blog lately, or to even read my bible. Today I was reading in Genesis and was reading about Rachel and Leah and Jacob. Rachel had beauty, and Leah didn't. Rachel had Jacob's heart, but again Leah didn't. Leah thought that by giving him son's, his love would grow for her. But it didn't. So she kept on having babies, thinking that each time would be different. She could give him something that Rachel could not, but that still did not help her win his love.

at the bottom of the page it had a prayer : Lord, the next I look to some person, thing or idea to complete me, draw my eyes to you instead.

I think thats a great prayer we should all memorize, and add to and pray with emotion. I know personally, I'm always looking at cameras that I think I HAVE to have, or at clothes or toys that I think the children HAVE to have. Or at things my husband HAS to have. And I know its not like those things would complete us in any way, but instead I should be looking for ways to draw us all closer to the Lord. I am trying to teach the kids every day out of the bible I got for them. But its hard, Taylors only 3 and Ryder is 17 months. They don't really pay much attention. But I am trying. And with DAvid its a different story. I try to randomly talk to him about this stuff and sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn't. I just pray taht I can continue to help lead him to the Lord..

Bible Verses

Jeremiah 12:1-2 - You are always righteous O Lord when I bring a cause before you. Yet I would speak with you about your justice; Why does the way of the wicker prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease? You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on their lips but far from their hearts.

Proverbs 14:31 - He who compresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

1 Samuel 10:6 - The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power; and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.

Long Saturday

Today is going to be a long day! But for good reasons! We MAY be getting a 2005 Durango, which has 3 rows of seats, dvd player, etc. Waiting now to hear back. We test drove it yesterday adn LOVE it. It is so perfect for our family. The gas milage isn't that great.... But I guess thats something we will have to live with!

Also, hopefully we will get to meet the two little girls I will start baby sitting on Monday! I'm really excited to meet them and their parents. And for the kids to meet them. I know my two will LOVE being around them! :)

Had to say goodbye to Zeek :(

So. We got Zeek on October 2nd. For my birthday.(Which is the 4th). I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him. I could hold him in one hand, he was so afraid adn just cuddled right up to me. It took him about two weeks to get used to us, then he was up and playing with the kids. He grew so fast. By Halloween he was bigger then my moms Dashound(sp?). By Thanksgiving he was huge. He LOVED the turkey bones we gave him. And the scraps :) By Christmas, he was a horse! I wanted to dress him as santa, that would have been so cute! But everyone else said no. Then when we went to Davids family's house we stopped by Pet Smart up there and bought him some HUGE bones they had on sale. He LOVED them! He still has them, where ever he is, at his new home.

It took a while but we finally found him a new home. The lady lived way up in Somerset but came to about 20 minutes form our house to get him. I cried while waiting in the truck with him and David for the new family to get there to get him. He is a handful, but I love him. He had the best personality ever. Loved everyone. The kids LOVED him to death. He was great with them. He loved to drag EVERYTHING outside the doggy door and it was lost till David or I went out and found it, then washed it. We repeated that every few days. He always stole my tooth brush, and he would eat ANYTHING. And Ryder always had to feed him whatever he eating. Ry would throw food on the floor and yell ZEEEEEEK lol :)

Mini School/Home Schooling Day ONE.

Well! Today has been great! We done mini school for 30 minutes this morning. Taylor loved it! She kept saying she was going to school:) We read the bible story, went over the pictures, learned about the animals on the picture etc.
Then we moved on to what the book said that God crated the fi
rst day. Light and Dark. We played with the light switches adn lights to s

ee light and dark. Then we played the matching color game with light and dark colors. She LOVED this by the way! And then we moved on to the number of the day, 1. We wrote 1 and ONE and then we moved on to writing her name, knowing the letters in her name, and then drawing sq

uares. She done great :)

Ryder played really well while we done this. He colored some, and I helped him with some plastic eggs and colors of them. :)

Photo Of The Day Jan 19th

Hmmm. Thought I flipped that picture! Anyways. Today we started mini school. And Taylor was very proud of her work :)

Photo of the day Jan 18th

My crazy kids:) Playing on the trampoline. They played for a good hour on there yesterday when both refused nap time. How they have so much energy I will never know! lol

Lesson plan for next 6 days

So I can finally get a lesson plan set now that I have the kids Bible Stories here now! :) Here is what my lesson plan looks like for the next 6 days.

I took the very first story in the book, CREATION. And I read it through, and made little notes on my paper. It explains what God made in the first 6 days. So I took those 6 days and I'm making a lesson out of each day!

Day 1 : Light and Dark. Read the story to the kids. Show light and dark with lights in the house. Then go around the house looking for dark colored objects and light colored objects. Color with light crayons and dark crayons. Play a matching game(I'm about to make a matching game of light and dark matching colors for this game). Number of the day, 1. Learn to write 1 and then to also spell it. (Not hoping for much here she is only 3 lol) ONE. Go over ONE and practice writing it. Draw a big 1 and write ONE under it and let her color it in, then tape it on our little wall for home schooling. Color of the day is all colors, light and dark. Shape of the day square, since the matching game will have square cards.

Day 2 : (Review previous day and reread the story) Sky. Teach that the sky is very high up and covers the whole earth! Its always blue. Clouds are in the sky, they can make the sky look dark and scary before a storm. Rain comes from clouds and storms too! Draw a picture of a storm, sky clouds lightening and rain. Number of the day, 2. Do the same for number 2 as we did for number 1. Review letters, sing alphabet etc. Shape of the day rectangle.

Day 3 : Review 1 & 2, reread story. Mountains,Oceans, Trees, and flowers. Mountains are very high up. They are very big! Draw a picture of a BIG mountain and a small hill to show the difference, let Taylor help and color everything in. Oceans are very deep! They can be blue and green. The Atlantic Ocean is the closest ocean to us. Trees can be very tall or short. They have leaves, trunk, and branches. Draw a big tree adn a little tree. Flowers can be all colors. Number of the day 3, draw 3 flowers etc. Shapes of the day, Triangle, Circle and rectangle.

Day 4 : Sun,Moon,Stars(Review all other days as well). The sun is very big. Its yellow/orange. Its VERY hot(look at some things in the house that are HOT and that we do not want to touch). Draw the sun. The moon is very big too! astronauts have been to the moon! Draw the moon in all phases to show that the Moon looks different. Stars, there are a LOT of them. Look outside that night at the stars. Draw stars, color them, count them etc. Number of the day 4, sing alphabet etc. Shapes of the day Circles and Stars.

Day 5 : Fish for the oceans and lakes. Birds and butterflies. (Review all other days). Number of the day is 5. Draw fish, birds and butterflies. Draw 5 of each. Fish live underwater, they swim and breathe underwater. They can be very big or very small. Draw a big fish and small fish, (Compare BIG things and little things in the house and outside). Birds fly up in the sky, they have wings that let them fly. They can be alot of different colors, and they build nests in trees! Draw birds, and nests in the trees. Butterflies fly too! they have very pretty wings. Draw butterflies and color in the pretty wings!

Days 6 : God created all animals. Draw alot of different animals, name all animals on the story pages. Learn how some animals live in the water, some fly in the sky, some live in the ground, and some like dogs and cats and horses live on the ground. Number of the 6. Review numbers 1-6. Review all shapes, circles, squares, rectangles, stars, triangles. Review colors and letters as well. Maybe throw in a matching game of the animals. Whats Taylors favorite animal? Go over animal sounds too.

So thats what I have for the first 6 days. :) Hopefully it all goes well. I plan to do 30 minutes in the morning time, then about 15 minutes before lunch, and then another 30 minutes after nap time. :)

Praying for what God wants for us...

Sometimes we pray for what WE want. But maybe we should be praying for what GOD wants for us...

I read this on a website somewhere, I can't remember where or antyhing right now. Possibly babycenter?

Anyways. I really like that saying. Aren't we always praying for SOMETHING for us or for our family? I know I am... And I never thought to just pray for what God wants for us. Well, I do pray for Him to bless us with another baby when He knows the time is right. But its hard to always pray that, know what I mean? When we want something, we usually want that something now. We do not want to have to wait and go threw all the stress of waiting etc. We know what we want and that we want it now. But in reality we need to be praying for God to bless us with what he wants to. Leave it up to him. Just pray for guidance, and for Him to lead us in the right direction... With Him all things are possible, just on his time line:)

The kids Bible Stories came in today!!!

Super Excited!! It finally came in the mail. And already I have the CD playing while the kids play. I can't wait for them to remember the words and sing along with them:) I've looked the book over and its really cute, and tonight before supper I'm going to go over the first story wtih Them. And then tonight before bed I will read it again to Taylor. And then tnoight I'm going to come up with some fun activities to do for the story for tomorrow!!!

Here are some pictures!

Mother Of The Year

Mother of the YearJanuary 18, 2012
"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ" (Galatians 1:10).

Sometime after the third or fourth year of homeschooling, I finally gained enough confidence to believe I was capable of teaching my children at home. I could see my children were actually learning, and I was excited to be involved in their day-to-day learning adventure. Everything was clicking with our curriculum, and we actually seemed to be in a rhythm with our daily routine and homeschooling schedule. Still, something seemed to be missing.

As I gave in to my doubt, depression began to cloud my thinking with "poor me" thoughts like: "No one appreciates you," "You're just a mom," and "Everyone thinks you're nuts and could care less about what you're doing!" My self-defeating talk continued and many times was substantiated by attitudes and remarks of those in the community who didn't approve of homeschooling. Each day I seemed to take one step forward and two steps backward in recognizing my value as a homeschooling mom. Wasn't there any reward, recognition, or encouragement for faithfully loving and homeschooling my children?

Then, God's gentle rebuke spoke to my heart one morning during devotions. "Why are you still seeking the world's approval instead of Mine?" He asked. Ashamed, I wondered how many times I would need to learn the lesson of Colossians 3:23-24: "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."

Feeling renewed after confessing, I walked into the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Sitting on the counter was a carefully wrapped package from my loving husband and children. Surprised, I opened the gift and found a sparkling, professionally made plaque engraved in gold. Below my beautifully scripted name read the words, "Mother of the Year — in recognition for selflessly loving your family." Tears filled my eyes as I hung the trophy on the wall. Satan was wrong! I was valuable to God and my family, and that was enough.

I received this in an email and thought I would share. I know I have times where I feel as if everything I do is not appreciated, like everyone just uses me... Like I'm always left doing all the laundry, dishes, cleaning up, etc.etc.etc. I know every stay at home mom and working mom knows what I'm talking about. this little story really related to me, I have those thoughts often! I'm sure every mom does at some point. :)

Couponing:)

Okay, so those of you who know me, know that I am a big coupon person. I currently have enough shampoo & conditioner to last at least 8 months, probably longer. I have enough tissue for a month, and dish washing liquid for the next 4 months probably. I'm always looking for good sales, and I always know what sales I'm looking for. Always looking for dish washing liquid sales, if you work it just right you can get 1 bottle of dawn for .58 cents including taxes :)

Anyways. I thought about doing a little series of coupon posts over the next few weeks about couponing in general. I'm no expert, but I do know some about it :)

Just a week ago I learned about Walgreens Register Rewards system. VERY confusing!
Heres the story on that one : I saw that they had Herbal Essence on sale for 2.99 a bottle. And I had 10 1.00 off coupons. AND they had a special, if you buy 1 you get 1.00 off as register rewards. So I was like OHH I HAVE TO DO TO THAT:) Well. Ofcourse I mess up. I run all the herbal essence threw on one transaction. And then it only printed ONE register reward :( But the cashier was so nice and sweet. She canceled it all and then helped me go threw it all again.

For Register Rewards to work : You must ring up the one item at one time. Like if you are wanting 10 Herbal Essence to get 1 register reward for EACH one then you must ring them all up separately. So. Each one costed me only 2.27 AND I had a 1 dollar for each one(10 total) register reward to use on my next transaction. So I bought 2 things of Charmin Tissue, 2 things of dawn dishwashing liquid, 1 ALL laundry detergent, 1 Secret deodorant, 2 packs of Always pads for only 4.37.

Then they had the Boost on sale. Buy 24 dollars worth, and get 5 dollar register rewards. They are normally around 9 dollars a pack. BUT they had them on sale 2 for 12 dollars. AND I have 2 3.00 off coupons. So I bought 4 boost. 24.00 total. THEN used my 2 coupons and got 6 off. So 18 dollars. AND I got back 5 dollar register rewards:)

Total price that day for this : 10 Herbal Essence Shampoo&Condit., 1 All Laundry Detergent, 2 Charmin Tissue, 1 Secret Deodorant, 2 Always pads, and 4 packs of BOOST, 2 Dawn Dishwashing liquid, for a total price of 45.07. The retail value- 102.00dollars, total out of pocket 45.07. Total savings : 56.93

Anyways. I hope I explained that in a good way. Its still confusing for me tho.

Also, I'm always asked "where do you get your coupons?" Easy. NEWSPAPERS! I really only get the Sunday paper. And they have a ton of coupons in there. Also look online, www.coupons.com is a great place to get coupons. Then if you want to order a certain amounts of a certain coupon try www.couponsthingsbydede.com :)

I will try to start posting my coupon shopping trips everytime I go on one. I try to save money in any way possible, and couponing has really been a great blessing to my family :)
Well. I was going to post the photo of the day, but my camera cord is missing :( I think the kids got ahold of it. So I may never see it again!

Not much has been going on around here the past couple days. I may be baby sitting soon! Hopefully starting next monday I will be watching 2 little girls, ages 2 & 3. I know Taylor will LOVE IT!

Hopefully its not too bad, I will only be keeping them 2 days a week for 11 hours those days. So that will be nice. :)

It came at a great time! I really need a new camera:) And the one I want is pretty expensive. So now saving up for it wont take as long!!!

I may have found Zeek a new home. I'm praying it all works out. I really hope we can get him a new home that is great, I love him to death but he is just way to big for our house! lol

Hmm.. Oh, I've been working out and trying to lose weight, walking on the treadmill etc. for about a week now(Well walking for a week been working out/eating better/no pop in 17 days) anyways and I think I've lost about 2 pounds. So thats good:) Of course, if we get pregnant any time soon I will have to cut out the work outs and walk half the time just to be safe. And yeah, its crazy! Triyng to lose weight but hoping to get pregnant at the same time! Lol Anyways:)

Hopefully I can find the camera cord this evening and post the photo of the day, if not maybe tomorrow then!!!!

Photo Of The Day Jan 14 & 15

Photo of the day for Jan. 14th 2012. Taylor Grace & her cousin Easton Rhyne. They are 2 years and 2 weeks apart :) They had a blast sharing her bike, and playing with the other toys. Of course Ryder was there too! But he was to busy trying to keep mamaws attention to actually play much! lol

Photo Of the day Jan 15th 2012. I was trying to get a good picture of me and the kids. everytime I said to say CHEESE Taylor closed her eyes and ryder just made a funny face.
I guess its going to take more work to get a good picture of me and both kids :)

I Found this picture on Pinterest.com. It was under the home schooling section. I decided to look up all the verses and write them down. So here they are :)

Phil. 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Deut. 6:5 You shall love the Lord your God with all heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

2 Peter 1:2-3 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by glory and virtue.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be giving to him.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Gal. 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Eph. 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification that it may impact grace to the hearers.

2 Tim. 2:16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

All good verses to memorize! I am going to put these at the front of my Bible Binder, as I call it :)

I got Saved today!!!

Today has been a great day. Started off with a family breakfast, then we cleaned up the house and tehn went grocery shopping. The kids were good in walmart whiel we shopped. Then we came hom, they got naps and David and I cleaned adn put everythign away. Then my nephew Easton and my parents and sister and her boyfriend came over. The kids had a great time playing. Then while taking my bath(with my computer! lol) I was reading some interesting websites on the bible, they had so much information it was great:) I was reading adn somethign just clicked, it all fell into place and I was praying adn I just know in my heart that I am saved. God has really done so much for me, and now I can just see everything differently. Theres really no way to explain it. :)

Its been a great day :) I will post the photo of the day for today tomorrow, since its so late tonight.

Another good note- We put Taylor to bed at 10 30, with no tv in her room. She got up 7 tiems but we kept putting her back in bed and by 11 she was asleep!!!!!!!! Of course she woke up Ryder right when we put her in bed and it took till 11 15 to get him back in bed bed and not to cry anymore... :) But all in all, its been a wonderful day!

Snowy Day

We have a little bit of snow out side, and I wanted to take the kids out to play in it.. But, both are still kinda sick, snotty noses and sneezing etc. Both are taking naps right now, hopefully they wake up feeling better..

I've been reading more of my bible, and trying to make sense of it all. Hopefully I will have some more stuff related to that to post soon :)

I started "mini-school" with Taylor today. She really enjoyed it. She can write A, and P, and T, and O, and knows all her colors, shapes, and just about all the letters. She can draw a circle, but the squares and rectangles and other
shapes are a little hard for her right now. She's only 3 after all lol. She likes to try and draw pictures, and they look super cute :) Then we hung up the pictures on the wall
and on the fridge, Ryder on the other hand got mad while we were doing "mini school". He ate the crayons and threw the paper.. Hopefully he gets more into it, or I can find him some activites to do at the table while Taylor and I do this. Theres a picture of what we covered today mostly. We done the letter A, and spelled Apple alot(she pretty much knows what the word is but gets confused because I say here is Apple, and its not an apple its just letters toget
her... lol) And then we done the color purple and tried to write purple, another picture posted below of the P and the U she done. And then we tried to go over how to spell her name, but she was losing interested by this point. So I made this paper to remember what we covered today. Monday we will do this agian maybe 2 times a day maybe 30 min each time since she gets bored with it after that.. :)

Photo Of The Day Jan 12 2012

Today we spent 4 long hours at the doctor office. The kids got check ups, Ryder got 3 shots and Taylor got her blood drawn. Both threw fits but that was expected. Taylor is 37 months, and weighs 37.4 pounds. And is 42 1/2 inches tall. Ryder is 17 months, weighs 25.4 pounds and is about 33 inches tall. :) I can't believe how fast they are growing up!! Time really goes by way to fast when you have kids!

Photo Of The day Jan 11 2012

The kids and I found a bag of Easter Eggs and put all the letters and numbers on them. They kids LOVED it! I showed Taylor how to spell her name, we put the numbers in order, and we practiced all the letters and numbers. Taylor knows just about every letter, and can tell you just about any letter out of order etc. She is great with numbers and can count to like 20 something when she wants to!! Ryder on the other hand loves to open and close the eggs, try to eat the eggs, and throw them all over the house :) So I am still finding random eggs under things :) LOL

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

I was told to read 1 Peter 3. And I have, a few times since I was told about it. :) Thought I would share :
Wives, likewise be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. do not let your adornment be merely outward(arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel) rather let it be the hidden person of the heart with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is very precious in the sigh of God.

That says a lot there, and its all explained, makes it easier for me to undestand!:)

Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it', whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left"

Matthew 6:25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go.

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

Anyways:) These are just some verses that I've read in the past two days and thought I would share.

My hopes for home schooling..

I've known for a while now that I want to home school all my kids. No matter how hard, how expensive, whatever, I want to home school my kids. Why? Because for some reason I feel like its what will be best for my children. Not only will I be in charge of what they learn, such as math etc., but I will also be able to teach them about God. Where as in schools, they aren't allowed to ask about Him, learn about Him, etc. So this way I can help them in all the areas that are important :)

I'm really excited to start home schooling. Taylor will be in Preschool in August of 2013. I know, thats a while from now. But I'm starting to save now for the school its self, and then also for all the accessories for it. (PLEASE if you know where I can get ANYTHING to help with home schooling like magnetic boards, things like that that are fun for the kids to learn from email me or comment on here of find me on face book, Maribeth Drinkard, and let me know about it!!! I have a huge wish list on amazon.com going right now lol).

Anyways. I am going to order a big childrens bible off amazon soon, and I can't wait to get it! I am going to pick out a story, (probably in order thats in the book) and every week we will do one story. I'm stealing this from another mom who home schools and has a blog(mywalkwitheden.com) Anyways, I'm kinda excited to see how Taylor does with it. She's 3... And change isn't good for her, she hates anything that changes really. So I'm hoping to gradually get her involved with reading the story with me, maybe doing a coloring page to go with it, things like that. And I'm going to do this at the same time(or about the same time) every day. Make our day more routine, more of a schedule. Maybe this will help with their sleeping problems too. They don't sleep good at all right now, maybe have more structure and more activities going on it will help some how lol

Anyways. If you have any tips, advice or ideas on home schooling let me know! :)

Early Morning Post

I am proud of my self this morning! I got up, made David's lunch, and then walked for about 15-20 minutes. Taylor has been up since 5 AM, and at 6 30 AM Ryder got up. I already have muffins ready for them and now they are playing and watching Mickey Mouse. So I thought I would post something I read yesterday..

Psalm 40:17 -" Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay."

Now, I hope that I am not too far off from the meaning of this. But to me, its like we are all poor and needy, in some way. We all need the Lord in our life, and sometimes we act poorly, not making the best decisions etc. I know I really need more of the Lord in my life!! And the Lord knows I have moments where I act poorly..

Another one that I came across while reading : Psalm 39:12 "Hear my prayer, O Lord. Listen to my cry for help, be not deaf to my weeping."

To me, this one means that the Lord always hears our needs, we just need to pray for him to help us, and have faith that He will.

Psalm : 38:9 " All my longings lie open before you, O Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you."

This one, to me, means that not only does the Lord know what need, he also knows what our desires are..

So, I am still new to all of this, and I hope that I am getting the meaning to these right. :)
Just thought it would be nice to share what I read yesterday, and what they meant to me!

On another note, I found a really neat bible I am going to buy for the kids! Its a huge one, pictures etc. Will be great for them. And it comes with 2 sing a long CD's!! I will keep one in the car and one in the house for play time etc. I'm really excited, and I hope that they like it all! This will help with our story time. Where I am so new to the bible I am not sure what stories would be good for little kids, or even how to word them to where they could understand. So I am super excited about getting this for them! *Now to just get them to pay attention when we go over it.....* lol

A verse I came across today while reading another blog has stuck with me. It is one that I hope to memorize. I've been trying to today, lets see how I do : "Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Well I almost have it memorized! Anyways. For some reason it has stuck with me today. To me, it means that when we are in hard situations, or possibly just having a bad day, or a bad moment, God is with us. And he will keep us safe, give us
strength. Hopefully I'm not too far off on the meaning... lol

Another verse that I really like : Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you" That one pretty much explains its self :)

Today has been a good day! My new treadmill arrived! David put it together for me and I love it! Its a great work out thats for sure.. And yes, our
dresser is broke :( But thats a different story! Anyways I walked for 30 minutes and thought I was going to pass out! Just a couple months ago I was walking for 45 minutes every day, which is 3 miles. But this time on here it took all I had to get in 30 minutes! Gotta keep working on that... lol

Photo of the day Jan 10 2012

I kinda knew what this photo would be once I heard that my nephew would be coming over for a play date today with the kids. I love having all three kids together, and watching them play etc. They bring so much happiness to me, its crazy! I love each one so much, and I'm thankful that God put each child in my life. Heres some info on each child :)

Taylor is my oldest, 3 years old. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and s
he is very picky! lol She doesn't like to have toys on her bed etc. when she go
es to sleep. She refuses to eat most of the time. I guess she knows what she likes and she sticks with that!

Ryder is my baby! He is 17 months, tomorrow! He has kinda dark blonde hair,
probably will turn a dark brown like mine
and Davids hair. He has deep green eyes! Finally! I wanted Taylor to have green eyes, but hers are still a bright blue. R
yders eyes are a hunter green, so very adorable! He has a great personality. Always happy, always sharing, giving kisses, and hugs! He loves to hug baby dolls, and loves to be with people!

Easton is my nephew:) I love that little man! I do not get to see him often, but h

opefully that is going to change soon! He has grown so much in the 1 year he has been here. He has green eyes as well, with dark hair! He has had more hair then Ryder for for ever. :)

So I have been reading my Bible more lately, and came across a few things that really made me think, or just really meant something to me. Thought I could share :)

Lamentations 3:25-26
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

That one really hit me. I had just been praying for David, and trying to figure out what the Lord wants me to do. And how I could be a better christian role model for David, to get him more into this as I am now. So I held the bible and asked the Lord to guide me to something that would help me understand, or give me a sign of what to do. I read two whole pages till right at the bottom that part was there, right at the bottom of the second page. I admit, most of the stuff did not make sense to me, and I did get the feeling maybe I should try again on finding something to read. But right at the bottom there that was. It really hit me, as if the Lord wanted me to read that.

Some other things I found are from my Women's Devotional Bible. Little passages that the authors put in to help the reader understand some things better : Be a good Christian Role Model, Always strive to put God first in everything you do. Show others what good God can do. Take time to memorize Scripture, meditate on it and tell the children in your life about God. That kind of home improvement is eternal.

Thats all that I have for right now. Taylor is insisting she is hungry(although she probably will not eat anything I make her, she's been up since 6 30am!) And Ryder is slowly waking up in his crib.

Hopefully I can get this blog up and going soon. At first I couldn't figure out what the blog should be about, my family? Duh! But how? And now I feel after God has lead me to a few other good blogs that I know what my blog will be about :) Faith & Family* And I hope to start a Photo Of The Day, and do daily blogs on what I find in the bible and what it means to me :)
